Benjamin M. Soto has spent more than 30 years building a distinguished career in the real estate industry. He is a licensed attorney and the owner of two firms focused on real estate services and development. He is an active member of both the District of Columbia Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.
Mr. Soto is the owner of Premium Title & Escrow, LLC, a title company that has served Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Tennessee since 2000. The Washington Business Journal has consistently recognized the firm as one of the top volume title companies in the DMV region. Backed by a team with more than 100 years of combined experience, the company performs comprehensive title searches and provides settlement services for commercial and residential transactions. Its services include issuing Owner’s Title Policies to protect property owners and Lender’s Title Policies to safeguard lenders. The firm also oversees the whole closing process, including escrow management, document coordination, and recording transactions in Land Records.
In addition to his title company, Mr. Soto owns Paramount Development, LLC, a real estate development firm specializing in commercial buildings and hotels in Washington, DC. The company has participated in significant developments such as The Wharf and multiple apartment projects, including 555 E Street, SW. That development features a European-style hotel, residential units, and retail space. Other notable projects include 1031 4th Street, NW, 350 Maple Drive, and the Hyatt Place Hotel at 400 East Street, SW. Completed in 2015, the Hyatt Place project also incorporated a modern fire station that houses units responsible for protecting the U.S. President.
Mr. Soto serves on the Board of Directors of EagleBank, one of the largest community banks in the DMV area. He also holds long-standing roles with the DC Chamber of Commerce, the DC Public Education Fund, and the American University Real Estate Council. Over the years, he has served on numerous additional boards in Washington, DC, focused on real estate, education, and sports development.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Soto practiced bankruptcy law before dedicating himself entirely to real estate transactions. He has also been actively involved in civic life, serving as treasurer for multiple mayoral and city council campaigns in Washington, DC.
Community service is a core value for Mr. Soto. He has supported affordable housing initiatives through board service and continues to contribute to organizations focused on education and housing.

A native of Washington, DC, Mr. Soto studied at American University. He has been married for 27 years and is the father of two children, Danielle and Alex. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and reading.
